OUTPATIENT NUTRITION PROGRAMS FOR

MOTHERS AND CHILDREN IN GAZA

In Gaza, hunger is now universal; 100% of families are food insecure.

Refugee Girls Worldwide (RGW) is establishing a 6-month

emergency nutrition program to treat and prevent acute malnutrition among

10,500 children under five and 6,370 pregnant & breastfeeding women.

Together, we can save lives and restore hope for more than 100,000 people.

Every day in Gaza, families face impossible choices: children go to bed hungry, mothers sacrifice their meals to feed their babies, and hospitals struggle to stay open. With farmland destroyed, borders closed, and health systems collapsing, the most vulnerable young children and mothers are at greatest risk of malnutrition and death.

This is why RGW is stepping in. Beginning August 2025, we are establishing three Outpatient Therapeutic Programs (OTPs) across the North and South Governorates. These centers are delivering urgent treatment for Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM), while also providing preventative services to help families stay nourished and resilient.

This program is more than emergency food. It is about building resilience—training local health workers in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) and Infant & Young Child Feeding (IYCF), supporting mothers with breastfeeding and complementary feeding guidance, and ensuring children and caregivers receive essential vitamins and micronutrients. By strengthening systems, we’re ensuring Gaza’s communities can continue to thrive even beyond this crisis.

You can make this possible. For only USD 1.48 (CAD 2.04) per month per person, you can help one of Gaza’s most vulnerable survive. With just USD 150,000 (CAD 207,000), we will reach 16,870 people directly and uplift 84,350 more in their communities.
